MATARAMRADIO.COM – Anugerah Grammy 2024 bertabur bintang dan Taylor Swift menjadi bintang Pop dunia dengan meraih ‘Album of the Year’ tahun ini. Artis asal India juga membawa pulang 3 penghargaan yakni SHAKTI, Band Shankar Mahadevan dan Zaakir Hussain, juga memenangkan Grammy untuk kategori Album Musik dunia Terbaik.
Sebagaimana diketahui ajang Grammy Awards tahunan ke-66 berlangsung pada tanggal 4 Februari 2024 dan disiarkan langsung CBS dari Cryto.com Arena, Los Angeles Amerika Serikat. Uniknya, India menjadi satu-satunya negara dari kawasan Asia yang senimannya meraih tiga kemenangan besar pada upacara bertabur bintang tersebut.
Band India Shakti yang beranggotakan John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, V.Selvaganesh, dan Ganesh Rajagopalan memenangkan Grammy Award untuk karya mereka, The Moment. Album tersebut berhasil meraih Grammy 2024 untuk kategori Album Musik Global Terbaik.
Selain Shakti, Rakesh Chaurasia dari India juga memenangkan dua penghargaan — Pertunjukan Musik Global dan Album Instrumental Kontemporer. Sementara itu, Miley Cyrus meraih Grammy pertamanya untuk lagunya Flowers.
